Conro, Paradis
COOK - Myia Conro and Charles Paradis announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Bunny and Dale Wiersema of Ely, Catherine and the late Edward Paradis of Marshall. Conro is a graduate of Bemidji State University with a degree in elementary education. She is employed as a teacher. Paradis spent four years in the U.S. Navy where he received training and worked as a boiler technician/engineer. He also served in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. He is employed by the city of Virginia Public Utilities as a boiler operator. An Aug. 13, 2011, wedding is planned in Aitkin.
