MARSHALL - Emily Hansen and Benjamin Doherty announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Rick Hansen and Carrie Hansen of Marshall and Ken and Sharon Crowder of Dallas, Texas. Hansen is a 2005 Marshall High School graduate and a 2008 SDSU graduate. She is employed at Prime Source Management in San Antonio, Texas. Doherty is a 2007 graduate of St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and a law student at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. They plan be married Jan. 1, 2011, in Galveston, Texas.
