The National Wheelchair Basketball Association announced on Tuesday that Southwest Minnesota State's Jacob Williams has been named Second Team All-American, finishing as one of 10 players selected to the men's division All-American Team.
Williams, from Oak Creek, Wis., led SMSU to a sixth-place finish at the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament over the weekend, leading the Mustangs in scoring at 23 points a game.
Also receiving hardware for SMSU was Kyle Timmerman, who received the Frank Brasile Sportsmanship Award for the second straight season. Timmerman, a Minneota native, averaged 8.3 points and had 10 rebounds and nine assists in three games as the Mustangs finished 1-2.
SMSU finished the season with a 14-10 record.
