International Food Festival April 9
The 21st International Food Festival will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in the upper level of the Student Center at Southwest Minnesota State University.
This annual event features native foods of SMSU international students.
"The students prepare the foods themselves, and it's a good way to taste native dishes and celebrate our international students and their cultures," Sandy Nelson, coordinator of International Student Services at SMSU said.
SMSU has 174 international students from 25 countries. Many of those countries will be represented at the International Food Festival. Student chefs will compete for a trio of prizes.
Only 150 tickets are available, and can be obtained from the International Student Services office, SC 237, or by calling 507-537-6018. SMSU international students are also selling tickets. Tickets are $8 for those 15-and-older, $6 for those 5-15 and free to anyone younger than 5.
For further information, call 537-6018.
