American Legion Auxiliary offers scholarship

A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a senior daughter or granddaughter of a veteran, Legion member or Auxiliary member (Marshall units).

The scholarship may be used at a college, university or vocational school. Applications can be obtained at the Marshall High School guidance office. The deadline is April 26.

Preschool round-up Monday at Samuel Lutheran School

Preschool round-up will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday at Samuel Lutheran School in Marshall. A pizza supper will be served at 6 p.m. The round-up is for children ages 3 and 4 (or those that will be 3 years old by Sept. 1)

The pre-kindergarten program at Samuel Lutheran Preschool emphasizes Jesus' love for children and His presence in their lives every day. Reading and math readiness skills are also an important part of the program.

Three-year-old children can be enrolled in a two day per week program and 4-year-old children may be enrolled in either a three-day per week program. The classes meet in the morning during the regular school year.

Samuel Lutheran School is supported by Christ Lutheran Church in Marshall. For more information regarding round-up or if you plan to attend, call the school office before noon Monday at 532-2162.
