Concert choir Saturday in Tracy
Marietta College concert choir featuring Tracy native Celia Brockway will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Church of St. Mary, 249 6th St., Tracy. The evening of special music is presented with support from the Fine Arts Council of Tracy.
LeClere to have senior recital Sunday at St. Stephen
Joshua LeClere will perform a senior recital followed by a graduation ceremony at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. LeClere has been practicing piano since fifth grade and is under the instruction of Lorraine Schmidt. The recital will include selections from the works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Schubert, Debussy, Khachaturian and La Rocca.
LeClere has been active in the Marshall Evangelical Free Church youth group, served on the church worship team, played varsity for the Marshall Tiger soccer team and served on five summer mission teams in the United States, Mexico, Poland and Africa. These mission trips included ministry doing construction work, hurricane relief, speaking and serving children and teens, sharing his faith and teaching puppet ministry to national church leaders to be used in their children's ministries.
LeClere has been awarded admission to the Honor's Program at Trinity International University receiving annual scholarships of $13,000. LeClere will major in philosophy and Biblical studies.
There will be a reception following the recital and graduation until 7 p.m. The public is invited.
