To the editor:
We are living in sad and trying times. A lot of us Americans are in a financial crunch. The jobless rate is really bad.
Our education system has suffered serious cuts especially the cutting of teachers in many states. Many of our high school grads will not be able to attend college because of the high cost to go. Also it is harder to get some financial aid. Much of this is due to politicians passing bad legislation.
Now many of our states have passed laws to cut Medicaid and financial aid for the poor and elderly. Now the Washington politicians want to cut our Medicare and Social Security which is total insanity!
Last week the Washington DC politicians voted not to make the giant oil companies pay their share of taxes and we know they have been bought off.
The very voters who put them in office have been betrayed by these politicians. They really don't care about us common citizens of America.
Our former president put us in a war and deficit that has cost us trillions of dollars. This is bad! The future generations will have to pay dearly due to bad decisions!
