REQUEST FOR QUOTES 2012 CROP YEAR
Quotes will be received for cash rent on farmland located in Garvin Park and for land owned by the Lyon County Landfill. Bid for Garvin Park and Landfill will be awarded separately. Parcels 1-3 should have one bid. Parcel 4 should have one bid.
Garvin Park Property:
Total tillable acres: Parcel 1: 97.2 acres. 2011 planting: corn 62.8 acres and soybeans 34.4 acres. Cash rent price to also include 2011 fall tillage and 2012 planting of the following for Garvin Park: Parcel 2: 1 acre food plot; Parcel 3: 2 acre food plot. Garvin Park land is located in Sections 2 and 11, T109N, R41W, (Custer Township), County of Lyon, State of Minnesota. Due to the location of the farmland in Garvin Park, crop will be lost to wildlife. No adjustment will be made for this loss so this should be taken into consideration when submitting a quote.
Landfill Property:
Total tillable acres: Parcel 4: 97.4 acres. 2011 planting: corn 55.4 acres and soybeans 42.0 acres. Cash rent price to include 2011 fall tillage. The landfill property is located in the SW1/4, Section 9, T110N, R42W (Lyons Township), located in the County of Lyon, State of Minnesota.
Quotes submitted should be on a per acre basis. Equal payments will be due to Lyon County on April 1st and November 1st of each year. A one year lease will be signed that will automatically renew for two years if accepted by both parties.
Quotes will be accepted until Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. and should be sent to or dropped off at the following address and marked clearly on the envelope:
