TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

The City of Marshall, Minnesota, will receive bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street in Marshall, Minnesota, until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011, for the following project in MARSHALL, MINNESOTA:

Project Y93: TH 68/Lake Road Intersection - the construction of the street surfacing, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, and related appurtenances.

Estimated quantities of major work items are as follows:

Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk/Financial Director and Director of Public Works/City Engineer or their designee will publicly open bids in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 344 West Main Street.

All bidders are required to become acquainted with the extent of the work and the conditions under which the work will be performed.

All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms of the City incorporated in the Project Manual and shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check, payable to the order of the City for not less than 10% of the bid.

Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk/Financial Director, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper with a brief statement for the summary as to the work for which the bid is made.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid, to waive minor defects, technicalities, or any informalities in the bidding or to advertise for new proposals, and to accept that bid deemed to be in the City's best interest.

The bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in the Professional Development Room at the Marshall Middle School, 401 South Saratoga Street.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
