Fall Fellowship Fair Oct. 9 at Christ Lutheran

Fall Fellowship Fair is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood. The beef dinner includes mashed potatoes, coleslaw and dessert. The suggested donation is $8 for adults, $4 for 12 and younger and $2 for preschoolers. Delivery is available by calling 423-5118. A country store, youth activities and sweet shop will also take place.

St. Genevieve's parish festival Sunday in Lake Benton

St. Genevieve's parish festival is from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at Lake Benton School in Lake Benton. The chicken dinner includes potatoes and gravy and desserts. The cost for adults is $8 and children 3-10, $5. Country store and games will also be available as well as a live and silent auction and a pie and quilt auction. Catholic United Financial will give a matching grant up to $500.

Pet blessing Sunday at Holy Redeemer parking lot

In observance of St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day, a blessing of pets will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Holy Redeemer Church, Marshall. This is an ecumenical event, sponsored by the Secular Franciscan Order. All are invited to bring their leashed or caged pets and join in the celebration. Refreshments will be served.

Life Chain Sunday in Marshall

There will be a Life Chain in Marshall from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday. The community is invited to spend an hour in prayer for the unborn children. The Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 60 minutes praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. The Life Chain will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the corner of Main Street and East College Drive.
