Emmaus Retreat Nov 11-13

Holy Redeemer Church is sponsoring an Emmaus retreat Nov 11-13. All women of the Bread of Life faith community and surrounding Catholic communities are invited to attend. Emmaus retreat is a weekend for to listen, relax and enjoy the presence of God. Any sharing is optional and remains confidential.

Cost for the retreat is $100 and includes room, board, and transportation. Register by calling Char at 532-7334 or Becki at 530-3839.

Radiant Life Church to take part in Operation Christmas Child

About 8 million needy children in more than 100 countries on six continents will receive gift-filled shoe boxes through Operation Christmas Child this year. Children, families, churches, scout troops, schools, civic clubs and businesses are filling shoe boxes now. Radiant Life Church in Marshall will participate next week and is the drop off site.

Catholic Daughters to meet Monday

The meeting, lunch, and speaker will take place in Carlin Hall following the 5:30 Mass. The guest speaker is Lloyd White. A drawing will take place for free CDA dues.

Chili supper Sunday at St. Paul's in Minneota

The annual chili supper will take place from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Church in Minneota. Homemade chili, French bread, bars, milk, juice and coffee will be served. Everyone is welcome.

50th anniversary celebration Sunday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church

St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Marshall will celebrate its 50th anniversary during worship at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Following worship, the community is invited to celebrate this anniversary. At 11:45 a.m. there will be a potluck meal with a presentation at 12:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share. For more information, call 537-1516.

Turkey dinner offered Sunday at Christ United

Christ United Presbyterian Church, which is located across from the Wells Fargo Bank drive through (400 W. Lyon St. Marshall), invites the public to stop in from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday for a turkey dinner. Take out is available.

The cost will be $8 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for 5 and younger. To those that can contribute more than the asking meal price, put your name in the box for a drawing for a basket full of home baked goodies. Need not be present to win.

Proceeds go toward youth activities at CUPC.
