MARSHALL - Shyla Janine Ellingson, 36, of Garvin appeared in Lyon County District Court Dec. 6 on charges of third degree driving while impaired - refusal to test, fourth degree driving while impaired, no proof of insurance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. Ellingson drove while impaired in Lyon County on Nov. 18, a complaint alleges. A hearing was set for Jan. 3.

MARSHALL - Jennifer Christine Pierce, 35, of Marshall was sentenced in Lyon County District Court Dec. 6 for one count of financial transaction card fraud, court records said. Pierce used another person's debit card to make more than $1,200 in purchases in Marshall on June 24, court records said. Pierce received a stayed imposition of sentence and five years probation, with conditions including serve 55 days in jail with credit for time served and good behavior, pay a $500 fine, and abide by laws.

MARSHALL - Matthew Leroy Grimmus, 25, of Chandler pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Dec. 6 to charges of first degree criminal property damage, court records said. Grimmus broke the window of a business in Marshall on Aug. 28, causing more than $1,000 in damage, court records said. A sentencing hearing was set for Jan. 3.

MARSHALL - Edward Dale Reno II, 22, of Marshall pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Dec. 6 to charges of third degree driving while impaired, court records said. Reno drove with an alcohol level of .12 in Marshall on Aug. 28, and had a prior DWI conviction in 2009, court records said. Reno was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 150 days stayed, and two years probation with conditions including serve 30 days in jail, pay an $800 fine and abide by a chemical use assessment. Additional charges of driving without headlights were dismissed.

MARSHALL - Jesse James Andres, 31, of Ruthton appeared in Lyon County District Court Dec. 6 on two counts of driving while impaired charges, court records said. Andres drove with an alcohol level of .2 in Lyon County on July 9, and had prior DWI convictions in 2007 and 2009, a complaint alleges. The court found probable cause for the charges, and a hearing was set for Feb. 14.
