AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
MARSHALL CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES CHAPTER 30
RELATING TO ENVIRONMENT
On December 27, 2011, the City Council for the City of Marshall, Minnesota ("City") adopted an Ordinance Amending Chapter 30 Environment of the Marshall City Code of Ordinances with the addition of Sec. 30?46, "Illicit Discharge". The purpose of this ordinance is to provide for the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Marshall through the regulation of non-storm water discharges to the storm drainage system to the maximum extent practicable as required by federal and state law. This ordinance establishes methods for controlling the introduction of pollutants into the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) in order to comply with requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit process.
It is herby determined that publication of this Title and Summary Ordinance will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of Ordinance No. 645, Second Series. A copy of the entire Ordinance will be posted at the Marshall City Hall.
It is hereby directed that only the above Title and Summary of Ordinance No. 645, Second Series be published conforming to Minnesota Statutes 331A.01 with the following:
