GHENT - Several Ghent residents have had their car or truck tires slashed, according to reports from the Lyon County Sheriff's Department.
Two incidents of slashed tires were reported between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Friday, in the area around Chapman Street and West McQuestion Street, the Sheriff's Department said. However, reports of slashed tires have been made around Ghent, with about 14 vehicles damaged, Deputy Adam DeSutter said Friday.
DeSutter said it did not appear that vehicles were targeted for a specific reason. The vehicles affected were all parked outdoors, whether on the street, in driveways or parking lots. The number of tires slashed also differed from vehicle to vehicle, he said. The incidents are still under investigation.
