MARSHALL MUNICIPAL UTILITIES

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by Marshall Municipal Utilities' Engineering Firm, DeWild Grant Reckert and Associates Company, located at 1302 South Union Street, Rock Rapids, IA 51246 until 1:30 p.m. on the 9th day of February, 2012, for Furnishing Power Cable for the Electric Distribution Improvements 2012 at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

The general nature of the work on which proposals will be received consists of the furnishing of 15 kV Power Cable to Marshall Municipal Utilities. Approximate quantity is as follows:

500 kcmil Cu: 81,750 ft.

All bids shall be made on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond, made payable to Marshall Municipal Utilities, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, which security becomes the property of Marshall Municipal Utilities in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a Material Agreement.

The above material shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of Material Agreement now on file in the office of Marshall Municipal Utilities in said City of Marshall, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.

Material suppliers desiring a copy of the proposal forms and specifications for individual use may obtain them from the office of DeWild Grant Reckert and Associates Company, Engineers, Rock Rapids, Iowa, telephone (712) 472-2531, no deposit required.

Payment to the Supplier will be made on the basis of one hundred percent (100%) of the Proposal on receipt of the material, as certified by the Engineer.

Delivery of 15kV Power Cable shall be no later than May 18, 2012. All materials shall be F.O.B., Lake St. Warehouse, 1501 Lake Street, Marshall, Minnesota.

Marshall Municipal Utilities reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date proposals are received and no proposal may be withdrawn during this period. Marshall Municipal Utilities also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and enter into such contract as it shall deem to be in the best interest of Marshall Municipal Utilities.
