MARSHALL - Jason Taylor Thomas Campbell, 23, of Fulda pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24 to charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime, court records said. A complaint alleges Campbell possessed methamphetamines in Marshall on Nov. 23. A backup trial date was set for Feb. 29, with a date certain of June 18. A pretrial hearing was set for Feb. 21.
MARSHALL - Alan Joseph Lustfield, 36, of Marshall was sentenced in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24 for charges of theft, court records said. Lustfield towed a car without permission in Marshall on Sept. 30, and would only return it upon payment of a disputed bill for work performed by his business, court records said. Lustfield received a stayed sentence of one year in jail, pay a $500 fine, and two years probation with conditions including complete 80 hours of Sentenced to Service, receive counseling and abide by laws. Additional charges of theft of a motor vehicle were dismissed.
MARSHALL - Agane Mohamed Warsame, 31, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24 on charges of domestic assault by strangulation, interfering with an emergency call - liability for crimes of another, and two counts of domestic assault. A complaint alleges Warsame assaulted a woman in Marshall, and he or an accomplice interfered with an emergency call on Jan. 12. A hearing was set for Feb. 7.
MARSHALL - Kevin John Barry, 45, of Lake Wilson appeared in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24. on charges of third degree driving while impaired - refusal to test, violation of a restricted driver's license, and fourth degree driving while impaired. A complaint alleges Barry drove while impaired in Lyon County on Jan. 6. A hearing was set for Feb. 7.
MARSHALL - Travis Edward Menard, 31, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24 on charges of financial transaction card fraud and obstructing legal process. A complaint alleges Menard used another person's debit card to make more than $300 in purchases Jan. 12. A hearing was set for Feb. 7.
MARSHALL - Denton Robert Gregg, 38, of Lynd pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24 to charges of second degree burglary under a Norgaard plea, court records said. Gregg pleaded guilty, but was unable to recall facts related to the complaint. Gregg entered an apartment in Cottonwood without permission and assaulted two residents of the apartment building on July 24, court records said. The court ordered a sentencing guidelines worksheet to be prepared and a sentencing hearing was set for Feb. 21.
MARSHALL - Jacob David Buysse, 19, of Cottonwood appeared in Lyon County District Court Jan. 24 on charges of predatory offender - violation of registration requirements. A complaint alleges Buysse did not notify authorities of a change in his employment in Lyon County on Dec. 14-15. Public defender Joel Solie requested that a plea hearing be continued, to allow more time to receive information from Lyon County Attorney Rick Maes, and for a presentencing investigation worksheet to be completed. The hearing was continued until Feb. 7.
