Marshall Independent

Gottschalk to speak at First Lutheran

Scott D. Gottschalk will speak about his book, "Nine Lives to Eternity," at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, and at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 with an adult forum from 9:45-10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Marshall.

"Nine Lives To Eternity, Guided By Angels" chronicles Gottschalk's life and how he almost died 27 times. The numerous near-death experiences required 10 major medical surgeries. In all, his death-defying circumstances have accounted for 26 fractured bones and rendered him unconscious on five occasions, yet he somehow lived to tell his story.

Sweetheart Dinner Feb. 14 at Holy Redeemer Carlin Hall

Holy Redeemer will be the host of a Sweetheart Dinner for Valentine's Day. The evening will include social hour and dinner. "Creative Impressions" will perform a comedy act called "Celebrate Life with a Smile!" This is a fundraiser for the youth going on this year's mission trip. Go online to www.gomarshall.net to download the registration form. The cost is $45 a couple and registration is required by Feb. 10.

Boy Scout pancake breakfast Sunday at Holy Redeemer Church
