The Southwest Minnesota State women's basketball team lost its 10th straight contest in a 59-51 loss to Concordia-St. Paul in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play Friday in St. Paul.
The Golden Bears (7-11 NSIC, 10-14 overall) forced SMSU into 24 turnovers, scoring 22 points off turnovers.
Abby Kenealy scored a team-high 12 points for SMSU (4-14, 5-17), but the team shot 34 percent from the field. Led by Bree Holleman and Nathalie Svensson, the Mustangs were able to shoot 7 of 10 from three-point range in the contest, and held a 40-32 advantage in rebounds.
Leading C-SP in scoring was Anika Whiting, who had a game-high 17 points. Rachel Hansen added 11.
Today, the Mustangs travel to St. Cloud State to play the Huskies. St. Cloud State defeated Minnesota State-Mankato 64-59 on Friday.
