Area Boys Basketball

TMB 65, Canby 62

The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers came through with a hard-fought 65-62 win over Canby Tuesday night in a Camden Conference game in Tracy.

The Panthers led 34-33 at the half and held off the Lancers in the second half for the three-point victory.

Brian Fultz had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers, and Parker Lanoue hit four three-pointers, scoring 18 points to go with his seven rebounds and six assists.

Michael Slaba had a strong effort for the Lancers with 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Michael Sisk tacked on 15 points for Canby in the loss.

TMB (10-10 overall, 8-4 Camden) plays a road game against MACCRAY on Friday. Canby (9-10, 5-8) travels to Minneota Friday.

Dion Nelson poured in 24 points, leading the Lincoln HI Rebels to a 44-36 victory over the Minneota Vikings in a Camden Conference high school boys' basketball game Tuesday night in Minneota.

Jeramie Blegen netted 12 points for Lincoln HI, which scored 22 points in each half and improved to 6-7 in the conference and 8-11 overall.

Lee Bot scored nine points to lead Minneota, while David Noyes and Grant Hennen added eight points apiece for the Vikings (3-9 Camden, 5-16 overall).

Lincoln HI is off until Thursday, Feb. 23 when it hosts Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. Minneota hosts Canby Friday.

Trent Carlson knocked down five three-point shots, scoring a team-high 18 points for Murray County Central in a 66-54 win over Red Rock Central Tuesday night in Lamberton.

Chris Halbur chipped in 15 points for the Rebels, while Sam Beech scored 11 points and Nate Wieneke added 10.

Jeff DeCock paced the Falcons with 19 points. Daniel Maras had 16 points and six assists, while Henry Rogotzke added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Rebels move to 12-7 overall and 8-5 in the Red Rock Conference after the win. They face Round Lake-Brewster Friday in Slayton.

RRC drops to 9-11 overall and 7-6 in the conference. The Falcons hit the road for a game against Southwest Star Concept on Friday.

Five players scored in double figures for Lakeview, as the Lakers claimed a 71-67 victory over the Renville County West Jaguars in a Camden Conference high school boys' basketball game Tuesday night in Cottonwood.

Jamie Unke led the Lakers with 18 points, five assists and three steals, while Jordan Breyfogle recorded a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double. Derek Larsen (five assists), Daniel Bakker (14 rebounds, seven assists) and Jonah Dovre each netted 10 points for Lakeview.

Ryan Fransen produced a huge 40-point, 16-rebound double-double for RCW, while Simon Kjersten added 12 points.

Lakeview (3-10, 5-16) plays at Central Minnesota Christian Friday.

The Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys basketball team has won two of their past three games, defeating Edgerton 67-63 in Red Rock Conference action Tuesday in Westbrook.

Leading the Chargers in scoring was Taylor Lindaman and Jacob Comnick, who scored 24 and 23 points, respectively. Comnick also had 14 rebounds and six steals for WWG, which improves to 2-11 in the Red Rock, 3-16 overall.

The Flying Dutchmen (1-12, 2-16) got a team-high 20 points from Johnny Menning. Wade Gunnink dropped 16 in the loss.

The Chargers host Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin on Friday.

Karley Deprez had 15 points for the Chargers, and Maddie Frank had 10 points and nine rebounds.

MLBO was led by Janessa Peters, who scored a game-high 18 points in the loss.

WWG moves to 10-10 overall and 7-7 in the Red Rock Conference following the win. The Chargers take on Hills-Beaver Creek Thursday night in Hills.
