FULDA - Services for Etheleen Mathilda Busch, 95, of Fulda will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pfingsten Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Fulda. Burial is at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery rural Fulda. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisting the family with arrangements.
She died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda.

Etheleen Busch was born June 10, 1916, to Ahrend and Anna (Mammen) Lucht in Bruning, Neb., where she was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church. She grew up on the farm and attended country schools near Bruning and Geneva until 1923 when they moved to Minnesota to a farm in rural Fulda near the Pfingsten Lutheran Church. She worked as a hired girl, taking care of several families' children, then worked as a waitress in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Fulda areas. Etheleen was united in marriage to William Busch on July 18, 1940, in Rock Rapids, Iowa. After their marriage they lived near Wirock. Etheleen remained in her home after Bill passed away in June of 1994. In September of 2005 she moved to the Maplewood Court apartments in Fulda. Etheleen entered the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda in 2007. She was a member of Pfingsten Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Fulda where she belonged to the WELCA and enjoyed making quilts with the other ladies at church. She also was a member of the Fulda American Legion Post 318 Auxiliary and VFW Post 9017 Auxiliary. In the late 1940s Etheleen was a member of the Sunshine Quilting Club and around 1952 she was one of the founding members of the Wirock Saddle Club and served a term as secretary. She enjoyed her family, gardening and was very proud of her roses. Etheleen also quilted, making quilts for her grandchildren. Etheleen was also an expert leather craftsman, carving and repairing leather articles.
Survivors include her three children, Judith (and Lawrence) St. Aubin of Marshall, Gary (Linda) Busch of Fulda, and Dan (and Patti) Busch of Fairfax Station, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Alvina Lucht.
