In other business, the board approved the expenditure of $7,300 for 50 picnic tables for county parks at the request of Park Superintendent Daryl Schlapkohl.
At the request of Environmental Administrator Robert Olsen the board approved the expenditure of an additional $5,000 for tree removal on Judicial Ditch 29 in Section 33 in Lake Stay Township, adjacent to an area where tree removal is ongoing. The board had previously approved $40,000 for tree removal along the ditch.
At the request of property owner Roger Jerzak, the county agreed to a 50-50 cost share to replace a crossing over County Ditch 35 to come from the ditch repair fund. Each party will pay an estimated $5,000.
The commissioners also voted to set the date and time of the Board of Equalization and Appeal for June 19, at 6:30 p.m. to take place in the board meeting room. The regular board meeting will be rescheduled for 2 p.m. on that date.
