After winning the Section 3A tournament for the third straight year, the Minneota wrestling team was named the No. 3 seed in the Class A state championship, which will take place on March 1 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Ranked fourth in Class A, the Vikings (23-2 overall) will take on Zumbrota-Mazeppa, the Section 1A champions starting at 9 a.m.
The last two years, the Vikings have finished in third place in the Class A team tournament.
Earning the No. 1 seed in the tournament was Jackson County Central, followed by Kimball, Minneota and Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial.
