BALATON?- Services for Donald Wayne Braband, 85, of Balaton will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, at Victory Christian Church in Balaton. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at the church, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial is in Lakeside Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service - Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Colonial Manor in Balaton.
He was born May 18, 1926, in Le Mars, Iowa, to August and Grace (DeBoer) Braband. He was inducted into the Army in December 1943 and served state side. He served in the U.S. Infantry during WWII. He was honorably discharged in January 1946
Survivors include his wife, Mable; children, Naomi Donnellan of Minnetonka, Timothy of Litchfield, Miriam Mattson of Vergas, and Lori Peterson of Minneapolis; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Johnson and Lou Galbraith, both of Balaton; and many nieces and nephews.
