REDWOOD FALLS - Services for Elaine Irene Hammerschmidt, 80, of Redwood Falls will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday. Stephens Funeral Service - Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
She died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Sanford Sioux Falls Medical Center.
She was born June 9, 1931, in Stately Township, Brown County, to Louie and Mabel (Johnson) Liebl.
Survivors include her husband, Reynold "Swede"; children, Steve, Kenny, Scott, Danny and Pam Sisco, all of Redwood Falls; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Leonard Liebl of Dawson and Alice Schueller, both of Dawson, and Mary Larson of Lakeville.
