The No. 2-seeded MACCRAY boys basketball team jumped out to a 55-24 halftime lead over No. 3 seed Ortonville on its way to a convincing 83-64 win Thursday night at the R/A Facility in Marshall in the the semifinals of the Section 3A-North tournament.
MACCRAY (22-6 overall) advances to play Dawson-Boyd in the sub-section final. The game will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday at the R/A Facility.
Riley Aeikens led the Wolverines with 21 points, nine rebounds five assists and six steals. Corey Abbas added 13 points and 10 assists, while Brady Boike had 19 points and 10 boards.
James Nitz paced the Trojans with 14 points, while Brandon Nelson and Trent Kuechenmeister scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.
The Trojans end their season with a 15-10 record.
