BALATON - Services for Harold E. Evens, 90, of Balaton will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Balaton. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Balaton, with a luncheon served immediately following the service in the church social hall. The Almlie Funeral Home of Balaton is handling the arrangements.
He died Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Balaton.
He was born Sept. 25, 1921, to Fred and Martha (Wiencke) Evens in Balaton.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Balaton; three sons, Philip and James, both of Balaton, and Donald of Marshall; four daughters, Darlene Evens of Balaton, Maria DeMasi of Montgomery, Ala. and Yellowstone National Park, Gina Rott of Ashley, N.D., and Esther Evens of Balaton; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
