The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team remains winless in match play, going 0-3 over the weekend with losses to Concordia-Moorhead (7-2) and St. Cloud State (9-0) on Saturday, and a loss to Minnesota State-Mankato (9-0) on Sunday.
Getting the lone wins on the weekend for the Mustangs (0-4 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, 0-9 overall) was Allison Niedert and the team of Angie Wiegmann and Katie Kienitz. In No. 3 singles against Concordia-Moorhead, Niedert won a third-set tiebreaker, 10-3, to pull away with a 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-3) victory over Olivia DeLeon.
In No. 1 doubles against Concordia-Moorhead, Wiegmann and Kienitz put together an 8-6 win over Julie Olson and Andrea Koskiniemi.
Looking for its first win of the season, SMSU heads to St. Cloud on Friday to play Minnesota-Crookston.
