The first Marshall girls basketball team to finish 12-0 in Southwest Conference play since the 2006-07 season, the 2011-12 Tigers led the way in the conference with three All-SWC selections.
Sophomore forward Kenzie Beekman, junior guard Kelsey Saugstad and senior guard Kelli VanLeeuwe each earned All-SWC honors.
Beekman was second on the team in scoring at 12.1 points per game. She led the team in both rebounding (7.6) and steals (3.4), while also dishing out 2.0 assists per game.
Saugstad averaged two made three-pointers per game on her way to a team-best 14.1 points per game. She also averaged 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals per contest.
VanLeeuwe was Marshall's third-leading scoring, putting up 9.3 points per game. She also tallied 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game during her senior season.
Marshall finished the season with a 21-7 overall record, falling in the Section 2AAA semifinals to eventual section champion Hutchinson.
