Going a perfect 14-0 in conference play in the 2011-12 girls basketball season, the Minneota Vikings led the Camden Conference with four all-conference selections.
Seniors Kelsey Hennen and Katelyn Kack were both All-Camden selections for Minneota, as were sophomore forward Molly Hennen and freshman post player Taylor Reiss. The Vikings qualified for the Class A state tournament for the second straight season and finished with a 29-2 overall record. Minneota head coach Chad Johnston was chosen as the Camden South Coach of the Year.
Canby senior Riley Nordgaard earned Camden South Most Valuable Player honors. Teammates Casie Bear and Ricki Kallhoff earned all-conference nods. The Lancers ended the year with a 12-3 conference record and were 19-7 overall.
Other All-Camden selections from the South division include Lincoln HI senior forward Alicia Moen, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton sophomore post player Kaylie Nielsen and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton senior guard Kate Johnston.
In the North division, MACCRAY senior Teagan Molden was named the MVP, and Wolverine head coach Dale Peterson earned Camden North Co-Coach of the Year honors along with Dawson-Boyd's Randy Haakenson. Also earning all-conference accolades for MACCRAY were Paige Schwitters and Abby Thissen, both seniors. The Wolverines posted a 13-2 conference record and went 23-5 overall.
Dawson-Boyd freshman guard Justine Lee earned an all-conference nod along with teammate Mari Lee, a junior forward/center. The Blackjacks went 10-6 in Camden play and ended the year with a 14-10 overall record.
Also earning All-Camden Conference honors from the North division were Central Minnesota Christian's Heather Blom, Jessica DeGroot and Alexis Scott, Lakeview seniors Sarah Berg and Emily Swenson, and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's Ali Clark and Ellen Johnson.
