The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released its wrestling postseason award winners on Thursday, and three wrestlers from the Marshall area earned All-NSIC honors.

St. Cloud State's Tad Merritt, a native of Canby, earned All-NSIC first team honors. Merritt finished third at 165 pounds at the Division II Championships earlier this month and ended his senior year with 144 career wins, setting the SCSU school record.

Southwest Minnesota State's Justin Reinsma, a sophomore wrestler from Slayton, was named to the All-NSIC second team. He finished the 2011-12 season with a 23-15 record and took seventh place at the D-II Championships at 133 pounds to earn All-America honors, becoming the first Mustang wrestler to do so since 2006.

Augustana's Jason Jeremiason, a native of Marshall, also earned second team All-NSIC accolades. He went 20-5 this season and took fifth at the D-II Championships. He also earned All-NSIC second team honors last season.

The honor of NSIC Wrestler of the Year was awarded to Northern State's Matt Meuleners. He won his second straight D-II national championship at 285 pounds earlier this month. He finished the season with a 32-2 record and won his final 26 matches.

Blake Sorensen, of Upper Iowa, was voted by the league coaches as the NSIC Rookie of the Year. He was the runner-up at 165 pounds at the NCAA Super Region 3 Championships, losing to Merritt in the finals. Sorensen finished with a 21-12 record and qualified for the D-II Championships.

SCSU's Steve Costanzo was chosen as the NSIC Coach of the Year, leading the Huskies to a Super Region 3 title and 21-0 dual meet record in 2011-12. SCSU placed second at the D-II championships for the second straight year.
