CANBY - Services for Merton Allen Halstenson, 76, of Canby, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Word of God Lutheran Church in Canby. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Florida Lutheran Cemetery, Freeland Township, Lac qui Parle County.
He died Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby.
He was born March 19, 1936, to Iner and Ella (Peterson) Halstenson at Swenson Memorial Hospital in Canby.
Survivors include his sister Lorraine Kamrath of Canby; and nieces and nephews: Shirley Klawitter of Slayton, Dennis Kamrath of Canby, Sheryl Curran of Stillwater, and Diane Paulson of Roseville.
