Kelsy Kannegiesser tossed a one-hit shutout and slugged a home run Tuesday afternoon, sparking the New Ulm Eagles to a 6-0 victory over the Marshall Tigers in a non-conference high school softball game in New Ulm.
Kannegiesser struck out 11 batters and issued only one walk in seven scoreless innings, allowing just a sixth-inning single to Marshall's Miranda Fischer.
Fischer also pitched a complete game, recording three strikeouts and walking four batters in six innings for the Tigers.
Marshall (0-1) hosts Benson/Hancock on Friday.
