SLAYTON - Services for Bradley James Gertsema, 41, of St. James are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's Church in Slayton. Burial is at Slayton Memorial Gardens Slayton. Military honors accorded by the Slayton American Legion Post and the Slayton VFW Post. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at St. Ann's Church in Slayton and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.
He died Monday, April 9, 2012, in New Ulm.
He was born July 9, 1970, in Adrian, to Jim and Sandi Palaschak Gertsema. He enlisted in the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge in September 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Kristen; children, Madison, Kennedy, and Dawson, all of St. James; his parents, Jim and Sandi of Slayton; brothers, Craig of Slayton, Keith of Spring Lake Park, TJ of Worthington and Jerrod of Pflugerville, Texas; and maternal grandparents, Fred and Alpharetta Palaschak of Adrian.
