MARSHALL - Kate Lynn Fineran, 23, of Denison, Iowa, appeared in Lyon County District Court April 10 on charges of theft by wrongfully obtaining assistance. A complaint alleges Fineran failed to report moving to Iowa in July and August 2011, causing an overpayment of benefits of more than $1,200. A hearing was set for May 22.

MARSHALL - Todd Lee Larson, 49, of Marshall appeared in Lyon County District court April 10 on charges of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety. A complaint alleges Larson drove with a canceled license in Marshall on Feb. 21. A hearing was set for April 24.

MARSHALL - Todd Mykle Roberts, 40, of Balaton appeared in Lyon County District Court April 10 on charges of interfering with an emergency call and two counts of domestic assault charges. A complaint alleges Roberts assaulted two people in Lyon County on March 18 and interfered with a 911 call. A hearing was set for May 22.

MARSHALL - Ronald Joseph Coquyt, 50, of Taunton was sentenced in Lyon County District Court April 10 for two counts of domestic assault, court records said. Coquyt assaulted a woman in Taunton on Jan. 1, court records said. Coquyt was sentenced to serve one year in jail with 335 days stayed, pay a $200 fine, and two years probation with conditions including serve 30 days in jail with credit for time served and good behavior, abstain from alcohol and drugs, and abide by laws. Additional charges of domestic assault were dismissed.

MARSHALL - Mitchell Davis Bot-Bowman, 22, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court April 10 to two counts of second degree assault charges, third degree assault charges, terroristic threat charges, and two counts of domestic assault charges, court records said. A complaint alleges Bot-Bowman cut a woman with a knife in Marshall on Jan. 15. A pre-trial hearing was set for May 9, and a trial was set for May 17.

MARSHALL - Michael Kagiko Muchai, 31, of Marshall pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court April 10 to charges of disorderly conduct, court records said. Muchai confronted a woman in Marshall on Feb. 27, court records said. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered, and a hearing was set for May 22. Additional charges of interfering with an emergency call and domestic assault were dismissed.
