SLAYTON - Services for John Jerome Schreier, 87, of Currie will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at IHM Church in Currie. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at IHM Church in Currie, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continues one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, Currie. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.
He died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Our House Hospice Home in Slayton.
He was born April 27, 1924, on the Schreier family farm near Currie, to Joseph and Rosella (Beach) Schreier.
Survivors include his wife, Barb of Slayton; sons, Carl of Currie and Allan of Belle Fourche, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Duane of Currie, Bernadine Kremer of Iona, Evelyn Ackerman of Tracy, Gerald of Currie, Mary Foster of Maple Grove, Francis of Emily and David of Currie.
