Long Sox sweep Gibbon
The Lamberton Long Sox stay undefeated at 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the Tomahawk East League with a Sunday sweep of Gibbon.
The Long Sox won 13-6 in Game 1, and completed the sweep with a 13-4 decision in Game 2.
In the first game, Landon Erickson went 3-for-5 with two home runs and seven RBIs. Erickson belted a three-run and a two-run homer for Lamberton.
In the nightcap, Erickson had two hits, including a home run, and Johnny Pistulka was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Pistulka also got the Long Sox's win on the mound.
Lamberton is back in action on Wednesday at home against Searles.

The Milroy Irish sit at 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Gopher League after snatching a 16-13 10-inning victory over Springfield on Friday, before falling 2-1 to Adrian on Sunday.
Against Springfield, Dominic Dolan led the Irish with four hits, four runs scored and a stolen base, while Isaac Dolan drilled a two-run home run.
Dominic Dolan continued his hot streak on Sunday with two infield hits and a stolen base. Adrian pulled away in the bottom of the fifth inning with two unearned run.
Milroy heads to Wilmont on Wednesday.

Down 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Wade French hit a two-run home run to put the New Ulm Brewers past the Granite Falls Kilowatts, 4-3, on Sunday in New Ulm.
Tyler Damman, Andrew Walters and Jake Suter led Granite Falls' offense with two hits each. Damman scored two runs, and Suter had a double and an RBI.
The Kilowatts host the Dawson Drakes on Wednesday.

Hadley swept on Sunday
The Hadley Buttermakes fell to 0-3 overall after getting swept in a home doubleheader on Sunday. Hadley fell 7-3 to Luverne, and Heron Lake edged the Buttermakers, 6-2, in the finale.
Against Luverne, Alex Petersen and Joe Larson each had two hits for Hadley, and Zach Bruns had a two-run single in the bottom of the second inning.
Versus Heron Lake, Derek Platt and Bruns each had two hits and an RBI. Kyle DeLong had the Buttermakers' other hit.
With the bases loaded and with two outs, the Lakers' Thomas Albrecht came in and picked up the save on a strikeout.
Hadley is on the road Wednesday to take on Pipestone.
