TYLER?- Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis Wietzema, 60, of Tyler will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Dionysius Catholic Church in Tyler. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel in Tyler. Visitation will continue one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at St. Dionysius Catholic Cemetery in Tyler. Arrangements are provided by Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel in Tyler.
He died May 22, 2012, at his home in Tyler.
He was born July 30, 1951, to Sievert and Alida (Hassebroek) Wietzema in Sheldon, Iowa. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and returned to Minneapolis after his honorable discharge.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; children, Jason Montonye of Herman, Brenda Baune of Fridley, Lisa Birchfield of Charlotte, N.C., Roxane Davis of Elk River and Darien Mickelson of Jonesborough, Ark.; many grandchildren; brothers, Fred of Worthington, Harold of Worthington, Robert of Watertown, S.D., Daryl of Fargo, N.D., Ronald of Mesa, Ariz., and Sievert of Wahpeton, N.D.; sisters, Lillian Jespesen of Britton, S.D, Linda Joaquin of New Prague, Janet Nelson of Wahpeton, N.D., and Anna Lampert of Watertown, S.D.
