Each year Bemidji State University provides academic, talent and leadership awards totaling more than $2.3 million. This year, 25 students will receive BSU Leadership Scholarships.

Local students participate in commencement ceremony at SJU
Seven local students participated in the commencement ceremony at Saint John's University on May 13 in the Saint John's Abbey and University Church, Collegeville.
Dalton Buysse, the son of Chuck and Sharon Buysse of Marshall, participated in the commencement ceremony at SJU. Buysse is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts degree in biology with the honor summa cum laude. Summa cum laude indicates a cumulative grade point average of 3.90.
Parker Deutz, the son of Mark and Brenda Deutz of Marshall, participated in the commencement ceremony at SJU. Deutz is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts degree in biology.
Kyle Fraser, the son of Mike and Margie Fraser of Tracy, participated in the commencement ceremony at SJU. Fraser is a candidate to receive a bachelor of arts degree in computer science.
