Irish sweep in home debut
Playing the first time at the new Irish Yard, the Milroy Irish picked up a pair of wins on Saturday, defeating Tracy 7-0 and Minneota 5-0.
Against the Express in Game 1, Anthony Dolan was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI, and he tallied the first hit of the new ballpark in the fourth inning. Tyler Peterson had two hits and a stolen base, and Dominic Dolan has three swipes in the win.
Facing the Mudhens in Game 2, Aaron Ogdahl paced the Irish with two hits, including a triple. Aaron Antony was 2-for-3 with an RBI in the victory.
At 4-2 in the Gopher League and 6-5 overall, the Milroy Irish host Lamberton on Tuesday.

The Canby Knights fell to 2-3 overall on Sunday with a 8-4 loss at Appleton.
Christopher Nemitz paced the Knights with a two-run home run in the seventh inning, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Tony Ross went 2-for-4 for Canby, which will head to Minneota for a non-league game on Wednesday.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, the Hadley Buttermakers scored the game-winning run on a walk, defeating the Worthington Cubs 8-7 Sunday in Hadley.
Joe Larson went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Hadley, while Eric Wieneke was 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs. Max Zwart added three hits and an RBI.
Joey Kinley had two home runs for Worthington, and Adam Munkel hit for a pair of doubles in the loss.
The Buttermakers (2-3 Gopher League, 2-4 overall) heads to Adrian on Wednesday.

Justin Schlemmer and Eric Dolan each belted three-run home runs for the Milroy Yankees in a 15-2 victory in seven innings over the Granite Falls Kilowatts Sunday in Granite Falls.
Dolan finished with four RBIs in the victory, and Josh Hadley had a pair of hits and got the win on the mound.
Granite Falls had RBIs form Tyler Dammenn and Tim Helgeson.
The Yankees (5-0 overall) travel to Raymond on Friday, while the Kilowatts (2-4) play Bird Island on Friday.
