The Marshall A's find themselves in a three-game losing skid after losing 5-2 to host Belle Plaine during the TigerTown Classic on Saturday.

Tied at 1 in the top of the eighth inning, Belle Plaine broke through with a three-run home run off of A's starting pitcher Jordon Kontz, knocking him out of the game after allowed 12 hits and five earned runs, striking out four in the loss.

Cody Curry accounted for two of Marshall's five hits on the day, driving in the team's lone earned run. Ben Korger, Tyler Flattum and Chace Pollock had the other hits for the A's, who drop to 7-3 overall.

Marshall looks to snap its losing streak on Tuesday at Legion Field when the A's take on the Canby Knights in a non-league game.
