Tomahawk Conference names all-baseball, softball teams

The Tomahawk Conference announced its all-conference baseball and softball players this weekend, with two Wabasso baseball players and three softball players named All-Tomahawk.

For the Rabbits baseball team, senior Aaron Brau and junior Seth Guetter were named to the All-Conference team, while junior Blake Altermatt was picked as an honorable mention. In 2012, Wabasso finished 9-7 in the Tomahawk, 11-9 overall.

Winning the conference Player of the Year was Springfield's Alex Fink, while Sleepy Eye St. Mary's Bruce Woitas was selected as Tomahawk Coach of the Year.

In softball, juniors Kimberly Frank, Shawna Rogotzke and Desi Kramer were each picked for the All-Tomahawk Conference team, with freshman Becky Franta earned honorable mention accolades. This spring, the Rabbits finished 9-7 in the Tomahawk, 12-8 overall.

Mandee Heiderscheidt, of Sleepy Eye St. Mary's, was picked as the conference's Player of the Year, while SESM's Wendy Owens was named Tomahawk Coach of the Year.
