A late run helped Luverne secure a 3-2 home win over Marshall Blue in VFW baseball play on Monday.
Noah Winkelman went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Marshall Blue, while CD Douglas and Mason Campion each had doubles. On the mound, Riley Sharbono struck out five in the loss.
At 3-1 overall, Marshall Blue heads to Pipestone on Wednesday for a doubleheader.

Brent Andries went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and Brad Bahlmann had a pair of hits, but the Marshall VFW Orange team could not overcome a five-run second inning by Adrian in an 8-4 loss Monday in Adrian.
At 4-4 overall, Marshall Orange faces Granite Falls on Thursday at Alumni Field at Southwest Minnesota State.

In Legion baseball play, Mountain Lake came out strong with a four-run bottom of the first inning, leading to a 5-3 win over Milroy on Monday.
Parker Lanoue went 2-for-3 for Milroy, and John Swenson added a double and an RBI in the loss.
