Milroy Yankees pitcher Austin Deutz hurled a six-hit, complete-game shutout in a 3-0 win over Willmar Friday night in Milroy.
Deutz struck out 11 batters and walked two in the sterling performance.
The Yankees scored one run in the first inning and two in the fifth. Matt Bauer scored one of Milroy's two runs in the fifth thanks to a solo home run.
Dave Schmidt and Josh Hadley each went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Yankees, who improve to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in Corn Belt League play. Micah Gronli added a triple for Milroy.
The Yankees remain in Milroy today for a home game against New London-Spicer.

Minneota 16, Dawson 2
Nine runs in the fourth inning powered the Minneota Mudhens past the Dawson Drakes 16-2 in seven innings Friday night in Dawson.
Tyson Sonnenburg and Jesus Macias each had bases-clearing singles in the fourth inning. Macias finished with four RBIs, while Sonnenburg went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Justin Greenwood added two hits and an RBI for the Mudhens.
Donny Hermanson went 2-for-4 for the Drakes, and Justin Lee added a double.
Isaac Josephson started on the bump for the Mudhens, striking out six over four innings and being credited with the win. He was relieved by Matt Musser, who struck out five Drakes over three innings.
Minneota (10-4 overall) plays host to the Pipestone A's Sunday afternoon in Minneota.

The Tracy Express needed only seven innings to emerge from Worthington with a 14-2 win on Friday night.
Phil Madsen went the distance, striking out six and allowing just one earned run in his third start for the Express.
Jesse Drager led Tracy offensively, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs, three runs scored and a pair of doubles. Jeremy Hoflock went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Tylan Gylling went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a triple.
The Express (2-7 Gopher League, 6-9 overall) are back on the diamond in a Gopher League game Sunday in Hadley.
