CANBY - Services for Elaine E. Waltz, 77, of Canby, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Canby. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service at the Birk Funeral Home in Canby. Visitation will resume from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with procession to the church to follow. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Canby. Memorials may be made to the organization or charity of your choice.
She died Saturday, June 16, 2012, in the St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee.
She was born May 4, 1935, in Taunton, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Schmitt) Vermeire.
Survivors include her children Douglas of Canby, Dwayne of Jordan, Darrell of Prior Lake, David of Burnsville, Dawn Kennedy, of La Porte, Texas, and Diane Bates of Panama City, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers Donald Vermeire of Sioux Falls, S.D., Richard Vermeire of Baytown, Texas, and Dennis Vermeire of Apple Valley; and two sisters Marlene Hoffman of Marshall and Mary Ann Schnaar of Canby.
