MARSHALL - Services for Vera Petersen, 82, of Marshall will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Rehkamp Horvath Funeral Home in Minneota. Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota.
She died Monday, June 18, 2012, at her home in Marshall.

Vera Eileen (Peters) Petersen was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Gary, S.D., to Charles and Arnelda (Johnson) Peters. She grew up and attended country school near Gary. In 1948, she was united in marriage to Wilfred Brogaard. The couple farmed and raised their family near Canby. Vera worked for a time for Swifts. For the last many years, Vera was living in Marshall. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting local casinos. She also was very fond of her dogs and was a huge Elvis fan.
She is survived by her children, Linda (and Bill) King of St. Leo, Judy (and Jeff) Hennen of Ghent, Ron Brogaard of Brooklyn Park; brother, Clayton Peters of Marshall; grandchildren, Tamara, Charise, Amanda, Megan, Jeff and Krystal.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Delores and Theodora.
