Amateur Invitational
The MGC/Schwan's Amateur Invitational was held Monday at Marshall Golf Club, with tight competition atop two different divisions.
Twelve golfers played a 27-hole competition, and it was Chad Michelson who led the way with an 8-under total of 100. He shot 35 on his opening front nine, a 33 on his back nine, then shot 32 the second time he played the front.
Tony Krogen came in second place, one stroke back, while Danny Anderson took third with a 102, and CJ Haukom shot 109 for fourth.
There were nine golfers who competed in a net score, 18-hole competition. Tom Gruhot paved the way with a net score of 69 (84 gross). Richard Van Dyke took second with a net of 72 (80 gross). Corey Skogrand shot the low gross score among competitors with a 78.
