TYLER?- Services for Mavis Jensen, 79, of Tyler will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel in Tyler. Burial will be in Danebod Lutheran Cemetery in Tyler. Hartquist Funeral Home, Utoft-Johansen Chapel in Tyler is providing the arrangements.
She died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Tyler Healthcare Center in Tyler.
She was born Feb. 4, 1933, to Bjorn Garfield and Beatrice (Bjerkestrand) Johnson in Nordland Township, near Minneota.
Survivors include her husband, Leon; three children, Andrew of Tyler, Michael of Mankato and Peggy Sik of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four grandchildren; five brothers, Arlon Johnson of Brentwood, Calif., Willis Johnson of Sioux Falls, S.D., Dorance Johnson of Wellington, Colo., Francis Johnson of Minneota and Merrill Johnson of Minneota; and sister, Jeanette Nelsen of Lake Benton.
