Seven Marshall-area athletes were named to the All-Section 3A team, announced on Monday, with Canby and Murray County Central leading all area teams with two selections.
For the Lancers, who earned the No. 1 seed in the North sub-section, senior outfielder Stephen Huber and junior shortstop Tate Citrowske were named to the All-Section team. Over the weekend, Huber was also announced as a Class A All-State selection. Canby finished the 2012 season with a 15-3 record and won the Camden Conference title.
MCC, which was the No. 1 seed in the South sub-section, had senior shortstop Nate Wieneke and junior pitcher Sam Erickson named All-Section after helping the Rebels to a 12-6 record and a Red Rock Conference championship.
Wabasso (11-9 overall) had senior infielder Aaron Brau selected for the All-Section team, while Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (11-8) senior pitcher Taylor Hoffbeck also earned All-Section accolades. Minneota/Lincoln HI (8-8) had one player selected in senior infielder Lee Bot.
Lac qui Parle Valley, which finished as the state's runner-up in Class A, led Section 3A with four All-Section selections.
