Tracy 11, Marshall Orange 8
Ten hits combined with five errors and six walks helped lift Tracy to an 11-8 win over Marshall Orange in VFW baseball Monday night in Marshall.
After scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth to regain the lead, Marshall Orange allowed four runs in the top of the fifth to fall behind again. Marshall attempted another last-inning comeback, but only managed two runs before using up all of its outs.
Left-hander Scott Buss got the start for Marshall Orange and allowed eight runs on five hits and five walks over 4 1/3 innings. Buss was relieved by Derek Rasmussen in the fifth inning. Rasmussen went the last 2 2/3 innings for Marshall, picking up the loss while giving up three runs on five hits and one walk.
Buss led Marshall at the plate going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Brent Andries was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Marshall Orange center-fielder Brad Bahlmann drove in two runs on 1-for-4 batting. Rasmussen also had a double for Marshall.
The loss moves Marshall to 7-8 overall as it prepares for an away game with Pipestone Thursday night.

Olivia 6, Marshall Blue 5
A walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh lifted Olivia to a 6-5 win over the Marshall Blue VFW team Monday in Olivia.
Four of the six runs Olivia scored were unearned. Marshall had two errors in the game
Riley Sharbono pitched six innings and was relieved by Connor Messman in the seventh. Sharbono took the loss after tallying two walks and four strikeouts.
Adam Kovash led Marshall Blue at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. CD Douglas was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, while Sharbono, Walker Werpy and Messman each had a single. Marshall had six hits in the game, all singles.
Blue drops to 9-5 with the loss and will try to rebound Wednesday during a doubleheader with Alexandria in Marshall.
