Firefighters used a ladder truck to spray water on a house fire west of Green Valley on Tuesday afternoon. The fire was reported along Lyon County Road 8, about half a mile west of U.S. Highway 59 between Marshall and Green Valley. The Cottonwood, Ghent, Marshall and Minneota fire departments all responded at the scene. The house is owned by Gary Roberts.
